Everett Hogue Rites Friday

Services for Everett E. Hogue, 45, of 111 Leland Ave., who died of diabetes Sunday at Veterans Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Conley Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in the cemetery at St. Charles.

Mr. Hogue was a cement finisher and formerly was a restaurant operator here. His wife, Martha, 43, was killed July 1, 1958, when she was struck by a car on Army Post road. The driver of the car, which failed to stop after the accident, never has been located.

Born at Peru, Ia., Mr. Hogue lived in Los Angeles before moving to Des Moines eight years ago. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are three sons, Robert of Ft. Hood, Tex., Jerry of Long Beach, Cal. and Everett, jr., of Des Moines; four daughters, Shirley, Charlotte, Darlene and Shela of Des Moines; a brother, Wayne of Portland, Ore., and two sisters, Mrs. Delight Place and Mrs. Evelyn Oster of Denver, Colo.
