Services Monday for Durell Kinney

Services for Durell A. Kinney, 64, of 3208 S.E. Third St., who died Thursday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital, will be 9 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Mr. Kinney, ill two weeks, died of a stroke and pneumonia.

A painter by trade, Mr. Kinney had worked for many years in the Des Moines school district. He was a member of the painters Local 246 and the Eagles Lodge.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at McLaren’s Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife, Alice; three sisters, Mrs. Marvel Barker, Des Moines, Mrs. Myrtle Estes, Macon, Mo., and Mrs. Bessie Snyder, Los Angeles, Cal.; two brothers, Lyle of Des Moines and Ralph of Woodville, Wis.
