Services Tuesday for Hazel Wallace

Hazel Sarah Wallace of Villa West Care Center died Thursday, July 31, at Villa West at the age of 85. She had lived in Madison County most of her life.

Born on Oct. 23, 1894, at Macksburg, she was the daughter of David and Nellie Johnson Trautwein. She was united in marriage to L. Guy Wallace on Aug. 22, 1912, at Creston. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1974.

Surviving are three sons, Chester of Mount Vernon; Russell of Hesperia, Calif., and Victor of Apple Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, F. J. and Prentice.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery near Macksburg.
