Services were Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home for Howard D. McKenzie, 59, of 4075 N. W. Forty-sixth Place, who died of a heart ailment June 28 at Veterans Administration Medical Center. Burial was at Macksburg Cemetery.
Mr. McKenzie, a Stillwater, Okla., native, was a retired chief medical technician for Veterans Administration Medical Center laboratory. He was a member of the Beaverdale VFW Post and the New Hope United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three daughters, JoAnne Marlin of Gig Harbor, Wash., Nancy Anderson of Eugene, Ore., and Kelli at home; a step-daughter, Kris Whelan; three sons, Daniel J. Of Los Angeles, Calif., Michael R. of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Robert J. at home, and six grandchildren.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Johnson Fire rescue Unit or to the Veterans Administration Medical Center’s coronary care unit.

Graveside services were held at the Moon Cemetery on Monday for Howard McKinzie (sic), 59 years old, of Des Moines. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McKinzie and had visited in this community with the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bonham and in the home of Mrs. Bertha McKinzie.
