Services Held For Gail A. Duff, Sr.

Gail Alfred Duff, Sr., 64, of Patterson, died Wednesday, April 4, at Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Phill Hall officiating. Burial was in the McGinnis Cemetery.

The son of Walter and Gladys Runiciman Duff, he was born on January 27, 1915, in Des Moines. On June 8, 1946, he was married to Karen Christensen, who survives him, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mr. Duff was an army veteran of World War II and was a lifetime resident here. He was employed as a welder for Eagle Iron Works in Des Moines and retired in 1978.

Also surviving are his mother; two sons, Gail, Jr. of Winterset and Lynn of Lorimor; a stepson, Cary of Colona, Illinois; two daughters, Sherry Light and Marlene Rink, both of Winterset; two brothers, Neil Duff of California and Edmond Duff of Des Moines; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Duff was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter.
