Services Monday for James Sweet

James P. Sweet of 305 S. Second St., died Friday, December 7, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. A lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Sweet farmed in Webster Township until his retirement in 1968 when he moved to Winterset.

Born on December 23, 1892 in Madison County, he was the son of George and Ruth Pope Sweet.

Mr. Sweet is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 10, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery with Rev. David Livingston officiating.
