Word was received care of the death of Roy Kenneth Black at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died of a sudden heart attack at his home Tuesday, May 2nd.
He was born on a farm near St. Charles May 6, 1921, the son of Frank and Edna Hart Black. He attended the St. Charles schools graduating in 1938 and was employed in Des Moines and Omaha before moving to Las Vegas in 1963.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Raymond Brandt and his stepmother, Mrs. Laura Black of Winterset, a nephew, Marvin Brandt of Algona, a step brother Donel Brandt of Des Moines and a stepsister.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 5th from the Paradise Valley Chapel in Las Vegas with the Rev. Joel Rivers officiating with burial in the Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Marvin Brandt of Algona and Donel Brandt of Des Moines flew to Las Vegas to attend the services.
