Thomas Ham Died At Age 72
Thomas M. Ham, 72, a native of Solon, Iowa died Thursday, May 4, 1978, at his home in Winterset. He was a lifetime resident here, born October 17, 1905, the son of Thomas and Ann Arthur Ham.
Mr. Ham retired from farming in 1976. On March 6, 1929, he was married to Iris E. Fairholm in Winterset. She survives her husband.
Mr. Ham was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church of Winterset. He was Past Master of Evening Star Lodge 43 A.F. & A.M. and a member of the Winterset Chapter 180 O.E.S.
Survivors include his wife, Iris; a brother, Jesse G. Ham of Winterset; three sisters, Emma (Mrs. Elwood) Edwards of Mission, KS., Mabel (Mrs. Bert) Nelson of Lorimor and Blanche (Mrs. C. E.) Livingston of Winterset. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Funeral services for Thomas Ham were conducted Saturday, May 6th at 10:30 a.m. from First United Methodist church. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery with Masonic graveside services.
