Delbert Harrell Death Thursday

Delbert Dale Harrell, 63, of rural Afton, died Thursday, April 13, 1978, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. He lived all but the last five years of his life in Madison County, the son of Cliff and Gertie DeBok Harrell. Mr. Harrell was born May 22, 1914, in Madison County.

A farmer by occupation, Mr. Harrell was married to Inez Fay Libby on February 22, 1938, in Winterset. She survives her husband.

Also surviving are three sons, Dale of Des Moines, Albert of Denham Springs, La. and Jack of Winterset; two daughters, Ruby Jacobs (Mrs. Orlo) of St. Charles, Iowa, Donna Fluckey (Mrs. Steve) of Shannon City, Iowa; two brothers, Clifford, Jr. of Osceola and Robert of Thayer, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Howard Duff of Nice, Calif., Mrs. Harold Libby of Winterset, Mrs. Keith Guthrie of Norwalk and Mrs. Delbert Trevillyan of Winterset; also surviving are 13 grandchildren.

Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Delbert Harrell were held Monday, April 17, at 2 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Jim Morris of Afton officiating. Burial was made at Winterset Cemetery.
