Barbara Louise Bishop, 55, was born November 30, 1921, in Monroe County, Iowa and died last Wednesday, January 5, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. She was the daughter of Harry L. and Ferne R. Jamison Snow.
The marriage of Mrs. Bishop to John E. Bishop took place June 1, 1946, in Des Moines. She was a housewife and registered nurse, employed at Memorial Hospital from 1952 until 1954. The Bishops made their home at 708 West Fremont in Winterset.
Mrs. Bishop was affiliated with the Catholic church.
Survivors include her husband, John of Winterset; a son, Kevin Bishop, of Earlham; two grandchildren; and her mother, Ferne R. Snow, of Winterset. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services for Barbara L. Bishop were conducted Saturday, January 8 at 12:30 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winterset with Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, from Collins Funeral Home.
Father John Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, officiated at the service. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
