Irene Conard Death June 17

A native of Jasper County, Iowa, who lived in Madison County approximately 60 years, Irene Ruth Conard, died Thursday, June 17, 1976, at Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. She was 77 years of age, a resident of Greenfield since 1973.

Born February 2, 1899, near Baxter, Iowa, Irene Conard was the daughter of Emmitt S. Paulson and Laura Beals Paulson. She was married to Elroy C. Conard on October 1, 1913, in West Des Moines.

Affiliated with the Methodist Church of St. Charles, Mrs. Conard was a housewife and a member of the Peru Social Circle.

Survivors include her husband, Elroy, of Greenfield, a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Sullivan of Westminster, Colorado, and five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Also surviving is a brother, Edwin O. Paulson of Earlham and a sister, Eva Green of Des Moines.

Mrs. Conard was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services for Irene Ruth Conard were conducted Saturday, June 19, 1976 at 11 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home, the Rev. Eldon Ringle officiating. Burial was made at the St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles.
