Death of Hettie Morris of Truro

Hettie Francis Morris, a resident of Truro born in Indianola, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 11, 1976 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 82 years of age.

Born May 25, 1893, Mrs. Morris was the daughter of George Douglas and Matilda Halterman Douglas. Her marriage to Floyd Morris took place in 1911 in Truro.

Survivors include a daughter, Ortha Shutt of Truro, a son, Frank Morris of Des Moines, five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Irene Scukraw of North Platt, Nebraska and Jesse Lamb of Des Moines.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, a brother, Archie Douglas, and two sisters, Edith Douglas and Charlotte Nelson.

Funeral services for Hettie Francis Morris were held Friday, May 14 at 1:30 p.m. from Kale Funeral Home in Truro. The Rev. David Wagner officiated.

Burial was made at the Young Cemetery, Truro.
