Death Takes Amos Kingery

A 93-year-old resident of Madison Manor North, Amos Kingery, died there Sunday, May 1, 1976. He was a retired farmer, a life-time resident of Madison and Union Counties.

Born October 18, 1882 in Monroe Township of Madison County, Amos Kingery was the son of Reuben G. Kingery and Anna James. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ira Kingery and R. G. Kingery and several half brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Amos Kingery were conducted Monday, May 3, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home with burial at Moon Cemetery, Macksburg. Rev. Paul Bousfield officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Miller and Mrs. Martha Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Winkler attended the funeral of Mr. Amos Kingery, who died April 30 at the Winterset hospital. Mr. Kingery, 93, was a former resident of Lorimor and is survived by nieces and nephews.
