Blanche Cameron Death Recorded

A native of Madison County raised in the Macksburg area, Blanche D. Cameron died Friday, February 13, 1976 at Villa West Care Center in Winterset. She was 85 years of age.

Mrs. Cameron was born July 30, 1890 in Macksburg, the daughter of Adam P. Stewart and Eliza Lee Stewart. She lived for about 21 years in Madison County, returning during the later years of her life.

The marriage of Blanche Cameron to William R. Cameron took place August 10, 1911, in Macksburg. She was affiliated with the First United Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the Barrett Circle of the Florence Chittenton Home in Kansas City, Missouri. Mrs. Cameron was also an associate member of the National Missions organization of the United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, William Cameron, a daughter, Helen Margaret Fetterley of Seattle, Washington and three grandsons. Mrs. Cameron was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and two half-sisters.

Funeral services for Blanche Cameron were conducted Tuesday, February 17, at 2:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, the Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
