Mrs. Davis, 82, Dies at Truro
Funeral services for Edna Pearl Davis, a long-time resident of the Truro community, were held Tuesday afternoon, January 13, from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro.
Mrs. Davis died Saturday, January 10, at her home in Truro. She was 82 years of age.
A daughter of Charles and Melinda Catherine Rosen Bradley, she was born in Tama County, Iowa on September 12, 1893.
On December 9, 1914, she was married to Franklin Davis, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Davis served as Truro correspondent for the Winterset Madisonian for a number of years. She was a member of the Christian church at Truro and of the Thursday Girls club.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Georgia Cunningham, and a brother-in-law, Dutch Henthorne.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Officiating at the funeral Tuesday was the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was in Hartman cemetery near Truro.
