Mrs. Clara B. Rollstin, a Madison County native, died at her residence at the Lodges Manor in Boone last Tuesday, February 4. She was 82 years of age.
Mrs. Rollstin was born in Madison County on January 26, 1893, the daughter of Joshua and Beatrice Simmons. She was married to G. Arthur Rollstin on April 7, 1915.
Mrs. Rollstin lived in Des Moines from 1922 to 1969, when she moved to Boone.
Survivors included two sons, Rolland Rollstin of Des Moines and Dr. Robert Rollstin of East Lansing, Michigan; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Bush of Boone; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Porter of Peru and Mrs. Bessie Garmer of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 7 at the Easton Place United Methodist Church in Des Moines with burial in the Peru Cemetery.

Services for Mrs. Clara B. Rollstin, 82, of Boone, formerly of Des Moines will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Easton Place United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Peru Cemetery at Peru, Ia.
Mrs. Rollstin died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Ledges Manor in Boone after an illness of 10 days.
A native of Madison County, she lived in Des Moines form 1922 to 1969, when she moved to Boone.
Survivors include two sons, Rolland Rollstin of Des Moines and Dr. Robert Rollstin of East Lansing, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Bush of Boone; two sisters, Mrs Olla Porter of Peru and Mrs. Bessie Garmer of Glenwood. 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The body is at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.
