Edna E. Misner, a longtime resident of Madison County, died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines this Sunday, January 26. She was 82 years of age.
Edna Ethel Misner was born at Woodland, Illinois on November 25, 1892, the daughter of Will and Ella Cook Salsbury. She was married to Bert Eugene Misner at Watseka, Illinois on June 14, 1911.
Mrs. Misner had lived in Madison county for the past 60 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Cherry of Prole and Evelyn Curnes of Winterset; and a son, Jack Misner of West Des Moines. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as one sister, Cettie Addy of Winterset.
Mrs. Misner was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Paul Bousfield officiating. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery near Patterson.
