Regina Hayden Services Held

Funeral services were held here this Monday for Regina Hayden of Lorimor, who died at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston last Friday, January 17. She was 71 years of age.

Regina Hayden was born in Madison County on July 20, 1903, the daughter of John O. and Anna Jackson Hircock. She was married to Teddy Hayden at Winterset on April 5, 1922.

A resident of Madison County for 42 years, Mrs. Hayden was affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Teddy, of Lorimor; and nine children: Mrs. Perely (Faye) Palmer of Lucas, Iowa; Mrs. Donald (Beulah) Harrison of Murray; Anna Grace Faux of Patterson; Omer Keith Hayden of Woodward; Mrs. Lynn (Floene) Morrison of Springfield, Ill.; Mrs. Willis (Helen) Salsbury of Norwalk; Marjorie Schermerhorn of Winterset; Merrill Gail Hayden of Creston; and Mrs. Scott (Norene) Zimmerman of Pasedena, Calif.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 26 step-grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; as well as two brothers, Raymond Hircock of Boulder, Colo., and Donald Hircock of Lorimor; and a sister, Mrs. Wanetta Hampton of Des Moines.

Mrs. Hayden was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, two grandchildren, and one son-in-law.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 20 at the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, with Pastor Lester Jones presiding. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
