Floetta Wolfe Dies in Arizona

Floetta Wolfe, born May 26, 1888, the daughter of Fred and Alice Mack Herren, died Tuesday, July 10, 1973 at Mesa, Arizona. She was 85 years of age.

Married January 1, 1909 to Alphaeus Wolfe, Mrs. Wolfe was the mother of three children. She is survived by two daughters: Virginia Young of Earlham and Esther Drake of Tempe, Arizona.

Also surviving are a brother, Dean Herren; a sister, Mrs. Glenn Wolfe; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her husband, Alpha Wolfe; a son, Russell Wolfe; and one grandson.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Methodist Church of Macksburg, the Rev. Willis Grant presiding.

Burial was made in the Moon Cemetery.

TEMPE—Mrs. Floetta M. Wolfe, 85, a native of Macksburg, Iowa, died Monday in Mesa General Hospital.

Mrs. Wolfe, of 902 Maple moved here a year ago. Services and burial will be in Macksburg.

Floetta Wolfe dies in Arizona

MACKSBURG — Mrs. Floetta Wolfe, 85, who had lived in the Macksburg vicinity all but the last year, died Tuesday at Mesa, Ariz. She was born May 26, 1888, in Madison county, the daughter of Fred and Alice Mack Herron. On Jan 1, 1909, she was married at Macksburg to Alpheus Wolfe, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Young of Earlham and Mrs. Esther Drake of Mesa, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Velma Wolfe of Creston with whom she had lived part of the time since 1969; six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Glen Wolfe, and a brother, Dean Herron, both of Macksburg. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by a son and grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Macksburg United Methodist church. Rev. Willis Grant will officiate. Burial will be in the Moon cemetery here. The Watts and Soll funeral home at Lorimor will have charge of the service.
