E. Cornelison Dies - Thayer

Elmer Allen Cornelison, 83, of rural Thayer, passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1986, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born June 23, 1903, near Peru, Iowa, the son of Andrew Jackson and Mabel (Diamond) Cornelison. On Aug. 7, 1927, he married Leila Andrews in Beaconsville. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Cornelison is survived by his wife, Mabel, of Thayer; three sons, Owen Richard and wife Dorothy of Des Moines, Deral Duane and his wife Elizabeth of Fresno, Calif. and Edward Doyle and his wife, Shirley Cornelison of Urbandale; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Della Bigley of Des Moines and Lena Leverette of Weiser, Idaho; and a brother, Everett Cornelison of West Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with Rev. Clifford Haider officiating.

Burial was at the Grand River Cemetery.
