Burial at Barney For Alta Foreman

Mrs. Alta A. Foreman died Friday, November 17 at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston following an extended illness. She was 72 years of age.

She was the former Alta A. Cornelison, daughter of James R. and Laura Palmer Cornelison and was born March 15, 1900 near Barney.

On September 4, 1935 she was married to Frank T. Foreman. His death occurred in November 1961. Also a step-son, Dale Foreman; a sister, Alma; and her parents, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Foreman is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. James (Ollie) Van Rossum and Mrs. Witt (Wilma) Goodman; one brother, Oliver Cornelison of Zearing, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Roma) Shaffer of Creston, Mrs. Myrtle Browne of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mrs. Carrie Stone of Afton, Mrs. Winfred (Evea) German of Murray; eight step-grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

Most of her life was spent in and around the Lorimor community.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 20 from the Watts-Soll Funeral home in Lorimor. Burial was in Barney Cemetery.
