Mrs. L. A. LeCocq Dies Here Today

Mrs. Lester A. LeCocq, 82, died at her home at 407 North Pine street at 7:30 a.m. today. She had been ill for two weeks.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian church here at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Ernest S. Worden will officiate.

Her body is at Detrick and Keating funeral home here. Burial will be in Green Lawn cemetery in Afton.

Mary Miller was born in Indiana, Feb. 15, 1868. She was the daughter of Henry and Angeline Burges Miller. She was married in Madison county, Ia., Feb. 16, 1886 to Lester A. LeCocq, who survives her. They lived on a farm in Dodge township in Union county for many years before moving to Creston about 30 years ago. Mrs. LeCocq was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Orla LeCocq of Macksburg, Charles E. LeCocq in California, Reuben LeCocq of Winterset, Clifford Lecocq of Creston; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Farnsworth of Sanborn, Ia., Mrs. Cammie Downing of Creston and Mrs. Ruth Garrett of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Cora Kingery of Creston and Mrs. Laura Showers of Gault, Mo.; and a brother, James T. Miller of Afton.
