Ruth E. Dickson Dies at 73 Years

Mrs. Ruth E. Dickson, a native of Hanley, died last Wednesday Sept. 20 at Clarke County hospital in Osceola, at the age of 73 years. She had been living in New Virginia the last four years after retiring from her work at Younkers store in Des Moines, a position she had held for ten years.

Mrs. Dickson was the former Ruth E. Lathrum, daughter of Perry and Edith Hubbard Lathrum.

Surviving are a son, Andrew Dickson of Des Moines; and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Hylton of New Virginia, Mrs. Jesse Day of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Mabel Anderson of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the St. Charles United Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Neal Kearney of New Virginia. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
