Elizabeth Cochran of Macksburg Dies

Elizabeth A. Cochran, a resident of the Macksburg area most of her life, died at her farm home Wednesday, April 19, at the age of 68 years.

Miss Cochran was a daughter of Forest Lee and Mattie Terry Cochran, and was born near Macksburg May 16, 1903. She was a graduate of Winterset High school with the class of 1923, after which she taught school in Grand River township for a year. She attended Bible school in Des Moines and Dallas, Tex.

With the exception of 21 years in Des Moines, her life was spent in Madison county.

Nearest surviving relatives are a sister, Dorothy, and a brother, Wesley Cochran.

Funeral services were held April 22 in charge of the Rev. Mr. Grant. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
