Joseph Alexander Services Held

Joseph M. (Mack) Alexander, a resident and farmer in Madison County for his entire lifetime, died at his home in South Township on Monday, August 16. He was 56 years of age.

Mr. Alexander was born in Union Township on January 11, 1915, the son of Fred and Elsie McDonald Alexander. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion.

He was affiliated with the United Brethren Church.

Mr. Alexander is survived by two brothers, Raymond of Winterset and Robert of Des Moines, and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Diser of Liscomb, Iowa, and Mrs. Ruby Smith of St. Charles.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, at the Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eldon Jandebeur conducting.

Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery with military graveside services.
