Leonard Cramlet Dies at 72 Years
Leonard Nathaniel Cramlet, a life-long resident of Madison County, died at the age of 72 last Thursday, August 18, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Mr. Cramlet was born in Madison County on June 13, 1899. His parents were Charles E. and Malinda Hensley Cramlet. On March 12, 19--, he was married to Opal L. Little in Missouri.
Mr. Cramlet devoted his lifetime to farming in Madison County. He also worked at the Gendlers Quarry before his retirement.
Besides his wife, Opal, he is survived by four brothers, Daniel Cramlet of Alabama, Marvin Cramlet of Boulder, Colorado, Everett Cramlet of O’Neill, Nebraska, and ------ Cramlet of Columbia, Missouri. One sister, Josephine Noelle of Colome, South Dakota, also survives.
He was preceded in death by a son, who died in World War II.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
