Anna was born February 23, 1913 to Charles and Lillian (May) Hochstetler in rural Dexter. She was quite the tom boy and loved working with her dad. She liked to ride her horse to country school and drove others to high school in Dexter.

She married Ernie Brown November 21, 1932 and they resided in Earlham for awhile. Their first born Mary Louise arrived September 21, 1933. By 1935, she had persuaded Ernie to move to the farm. He had always lived in town and their first spring she had to show him how to harness their team of horses. They had a big truck garden and sold produce in town. On June 14th of 1936 a second daughter Lela was born. Many times you could find us all at North River fishing. Their son Donald Dean was born May 4th, 1940. They worked hard to pay for the farm and Mom helped pick corn from the field, she had a big strawberry patch and people came to harvest strawberries. She also dressed chickens to peddle in town. Her pride and joy was her large flower garden. She would arrange a lovely bouquet for her church in the summer time. When there was any function at the church you could find her with her hands in the dish water. As grandchildren came along they needed many jars of jam or jelly for Christmas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie; her parents; three siblings; and one grandson: Mike Wildin.

Left behind to celebrate her life are her three children: Mary (Jay) Wildin, Lela Brown, Don (Joan) Brown; grandchildren: Vicki (Bob) Martin, Sandy (Ray Jr.) Parker, Rae Jean (Grant) McDonald, Brian (Deena) Brown, Teresa Brown, Pat Wildin (wife of Mike); great-grandchildren: Mike (Crystal) Wildin, Renee (Chris) Neuenkirk, Ryan Wildin, Ricky Wildin, Jennifer (Jeremey) Frease, Josh (LaRee) Allen, Jordan Martin, Randi Parker, Carly (Ross) Nicholl, Brad Parker, Chris Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Cassandra Brown, Matt McDonald, Nick (Sam) McDonald, Tosha McDonald; great-great-grandchildren: Mike Wildin III, Dakotah Wildin, Ryder Wildin, Brian Neuenkirk, Chelsie Neuenkirk, Zack Frease, Tyson Frease, Marriah Allen, Jaxon Parker, Grady Nicholl, Henry Nicholl, Hunter McDonald, Zoey McDonald and a host of other friends and family that will miss her dearly.
