Golda Jorgenson Dies at 71 Years

Mrs. Leonard C. Jorgenson of Winterset died Saturday, Nov. 29, at Memorial hospital here. She was 71 years of age.

Mrs. Jorgenson was born in Madison county June 6, 1898. She was the former Golda A. Powell, daughter of Sam and Nettie Ogburn Powell. She lived at Clarinda for many years, moving to Des Moines 15 years ago, and to Winterset in 1967.

She was married at Council Bluffs to Leonard C. Jorgenson. His death occurred in 1967.

Mrs. Jorgenson was a member of the Methodist church at Clarinda.

Surviving are two sons, James Jorgenson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Max Jorgenson of Grand Junction, Colo.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Drees of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First United Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Peru cemetery.
