Mrs. Mary Dawson Buried In Winterset

Mrs. Mary M. Dawson of Wichita, Kan., a former Winterset resident, died in that city last week, after a brief illness. The body was brought to Winterset for burial in the Winterset cemetery Sunday, with graveside services conducted by her grandsons, Robert and Mark Dawson of Wichita.

Mrs. Dawson was 72 years of age at her death. She was a native of Creston, where she was born March 5, 1897. She was the widow of Roy Dawson, who was engaged in the reataurant business in Winterset for a number of years. He died in 1944 and she moved to Wichita in 1950 to be near her children.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Pond, and a son, Robert Dawson, both of Wichita; five grandsons; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Wichita, conducted by the Rev. Burl M. Allen of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints.
