Mike Abrahams, 64, passed away December 6, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston surrounded by his loving family. Mike fought a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15 at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines.
Mike was born May 28, 1948 in Des Moines to George and Marie Abrahams and was raised in Winterset. He attended the University of Iowa and was owner and President of Phil Patterson Corp. for 30 years. Mike married Deborah Hutson Snyder on June 3, 1989. Mike was an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, EAA Chapter 135, The Antique Aircraft Association, and the Ercoupe Owner's Club.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; sister, Janelle (Randy) Sloper; niece, Emily Sloper; sister-in-law, Essie (Jack) Arthur; mother-in-law, Barbara Helms; and sister-in-law, Sue Zaabel.
