LUCIEN STARK, KENTUCKY

Lucien Stark, 83, of Lexington, Ky., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lexington.

Lucien was born in Winterset, Iowa. He graduated Winterset High School in 1946. Lucien performed throughout the United States and abroad in recital, chamber music and with orchestra. He was in frequent demand as a clinician, adjudicator and accompanist. In 1997, Lucien returned to Winterset to perform a piano concert at the Henry C. Miller Auditorium as a rededication of the 1920 Steinway grand piano.
