Raymond Strable Funeral June 28

Funeral services for Raymond Earl Strable, well known resident of the St. Charles community were held last Saturday, June 28 from the St. Charles Methodist church.

Mr. Strable died June 25 at the age of 64.

A son of Frank and Sarah Slayden Strable, he was born at St. Charles on Dec. 18, 1904. He was a lifetime resident of St. Charles, where in recent years he operated the Strable Nursing Home.

On March 24, 1930 he was married to Lena Donahue, who survives.

Additional survivors are a son Harry of Winterset; a daughter Mrs. Connie Kephart of Booneville, Missouri; five grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Strable of Des Moines and Carl Strable of Prole; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Stroud of Martensdale and Mrs. Evaline Roth of St. Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ernest and Guy; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Cummings and Edna Mae Strable in infancy.

Officiating at the funeral last Saturday morning was the Rev. James Louk. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
