St. Charles Rites For Edna Wallace

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna B. Wallace were held last Wednesday, June 18, from the United Presbyterian church in St. Charles. Mrs. Wallace died June 16 at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 80 years.

A daughter of George and Clara Deemer Burgess, she was born at Sioux City, Iowa on March 20, 1889. On Aug 15, 1918, she was married to Arthur Wallace.

She was educated in Warren County schools, and at Simpson college, Indianola.

Mrs. Wallace spent all of her married life on a farm near St. Charles, moving to Truro about two years ago. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church at St. Charles, and of the missionary society of the church.

She is survived by two daughters, Freida Wallace of Truro and Mrs. Hannah Pulley of Des Moines; one grandson, and a brother, George Burgess of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and one brother, Lawrence Burgess.

Conducting the funeral service was the Rev. Arthur Eddy of Indianola. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
