Charles Dutton of Truro Dies

Charles O. Dutton, a resident of Truro about -- years, died Friday, April 4 at Truro. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Dutton was born in Clarke county, Nov. 7, 1883, a son of Cephus J. and Rachel Cooley Dutton. During his early life he lived in Colorado, in Nebraska and at Murray before settling at Truro in 1919.

He was married in Denver, Colo. on July 15, 1908 to Nanny Klein, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Amel Priest of Peru, a son Marvin Dutton, of Knoxville, four grandchildren, three sisters Kathryn Dutton of Denver and Hester Dutton and Mrs. Susie Brant of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a brother, Joe Dutton of Bassett, Nebr.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in Ebenezer cemetery.
