William Moon Stricken Fatally

William C. Moon of St. Charles was stricken with a fatal heart attack and died last Thursday, Sept. 26, at Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyo. He was 61 years of age.

A native of Melcher, Mr. Moon had previously lived at Peru and in Des Moines. He was an employee of the Firestone Tire and Rubber company in Des Moines. He had engaged in the restaurant business in St. Charles.

He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the St. Charles post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the St. Charles Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Moon of St. Charles; two sons, Gary Moon of Des Moines, and Paul Moon, U.S. navy who is stationed in the Vietnam area; three grandchildren, and two brothers, Keith Moon of California and the Rev. Gail Moon of Chadron, Nebr.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines with burial in the St. Charles cemetery.
