Gailen L. Dick Dies in California

Gailen L. Dick, a native of Winterset, died July 11 at a hospital in Hayward, Calif. He was 62 years of age.

Mr. Dick was born in Winterset April 22, 1906, a son of Frank and Delta Iiams Dick. He graduated from Winterset High school with the class of 1925, and was married here in 1928 to Helen Vance of Winterset. They moved to Oakland, Calif., in 1943, where he worked as a florist and landscaper.

He was a member of the First Christian church in San Lorenzo, Calif.

Surviving are his wife; eight children; 23 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were held from the First Christian church in San Lorenzo July 15. Burial was made in Chapel of the Chimes Memorial park in Hayward.

His brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Dick of Burlington were in California with him at the time of his death.
