James McCrea of St. Charles Dies

Death Occurred at Hospital in Des Moines At Age of 74 Years

James H. McCrea of St. Charles, a resident of Warren county most of his life, died Monday, Dec. 11 at a Des Moines hospital. He was 74 years of age.

Mr. McCrea was born in Mahaska county, May 22, 1893, a son of William and Alice DeLong McCrea. His life was spent in farming. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

He was married Dec. 30, 1915 to Gladys McClure, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Phillip McCrea of St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Jones of Dana; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Herman McCrea of Cummings.

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Eady of Indianola. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
