Two Girls Killed in Car Crash
Two 17-year-old girls, both seniors at Interstate 35 High School, were killed early Saturday morning when their car crashed at high speed on a secondary road in Clarke county, north of Osceola. The victims were:
Teresa R. Lull, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lull of St. Charles, and Linda J. Isenberger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Isenberger of rural Osceola.
The accident occurred within a half mile of the home of Miss Isenberger’s parents. Linda Isenberger was driving the convertible when it went out of control and crashed against a tree. She was found dead in the wreckage. Miss Lull was alive when rescuers reached her but died later at the hospital.
Teresa Rae Lull was born in Des Moines June 3, 1950, a daughter of Roy and Marjorie Sweet Lull. Her life was spent in Madison county. At Interstate 35 High school she was a member of the school newspaper staff, a cheer leader, member of the Pom Pom drill team, the Madrigal singers, and the Interstate singers and chorus.
Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lull of St. Charles; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. I. Sweet of St. Charles and Mrs. Blanche Lull of Prole and two brothers, Steven Lull, aged 18, and Darrin Lull, aged 2 years, both at home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Patterson Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. James N. Louk. Burial was made in Mt. Pelier cemetery at Patterson.
