Life-Long Winterset Resident Was 68 Years of Age At Death
Waldo E. Wilkinson, life-time resident of Winterset, died Saturday, July 29, at Memorial hospital here. He was 68 years of age.
Mr. Wilkinson was born at Winterset May 21, 1899, a son of William F. and Estina Thornburg Wilkinson. Confined to a wheel chair all his life, he was a familiar figure in this community.
He had engaged in various occupations, including that of insurance representative.
Nearest surviving relative is a brother, Guy Wilkinson, of San Diego, Calif. He also leaves nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. William Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
