Pg 5Mrs. Ida Davis Dies at 85 Years
Resident of This Community for 57 Years Dies at Memorial Hospital
Mrs. Ida E. Davis of Winterset, a resident of Madison county for 57 years, died this Monday, Dec. 12, at Memorial hospital here. She was 85 years of age.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Lovilla, where she was born March 2, 1881, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Bolich. She was married at Pleasantville in 1898 to Thomas Dennis Davis. His death occurred in 1936.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death also by a son, Louis Davis, in 1947. Surviving are a son, Miles M. Davis of Winterset, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ella Titus of Alhambra, Calif.; and two brothers, Arlie Bolich of California and Roy Bolich of Des Moines.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by Elder Lester Heifner. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
