Harvey Stevenson Died Last Thursday

Death Occurs at His Home in Peru; Resident There Since 1950

Harvey F. Stevenson, well-known resident of the Peru community, died at his home there last Thursday, Dec. 1. He was 60 years of age.

Mr. Stevenson was a native of London Mills, Ill., where he was born June 21, 1906, a son of Fred and Bertha Elkins Stevenson. He had lived at Peru since 1950, and was a member of the Methodist church there.

He was married Jan. 7, 1937, at Little Rock, Ark., to Ruby Hineline, who survives him. He also leaves two sons, Harvey Stevenson, Jr., of Des Moines, and James Stevenson of Peru; a grandson; a brother, of Rockwell City; and his stepmother, Mrs. Ruth Stevenson of Omaha.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Peru Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. James Nicholson, pastor. Burial was made in the Ebenezer cemetery.
