Thomas H. McMichael, a former resident of Madison county died Sunday, March 13, at a Des Moines hospital. He had been living in Des Moines since 1945. He was 75 years of age.
Mr. McMichael was born in Madison county, and spent his early life farming near St. Charles and Patterson. From 1932 to 1945 he lived north of Winterset.
He was a son of James and Mary Gamble McMichael.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth McMichael; four sons, Vernon McMichael of Denver, Colo., Wilbur McMichael of Des Moines, Carl McMichael of Truro and Lloyd McMichael of Canon City, Colo. He also leaves five stepchildren; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Allen of St. Charles.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. E. K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be made in Mt. Pelier cemetery at Patterson.
