Larry R. Fast Sr., 55, of Indianola died of cancer Monday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at St. Charles Cemetery in St. Charles.

Mr. Fast was born in New Virginia and had lived in St. Charles and Norwalk before moving to Indianola, where he had lived most of his life. He was a retired mechanic with Muffler Clinics and an Army veteran. He enjoyed the outdoors and flower gardening.

He is survived by three daughters, Christal Payne of Norwalk, Tanya Fast of Urbandale and Renada Fast of Prole; two sons, Raymond of Des Moines and Larry Jr. of Prole; a sister, Marianna Lisk of Hartford; four brothers, Lyle and Roger, both of St. Charles, and David and Lanny, both of Des Moines; and eight grandchildren.
