Evelyn Marie Mills, eight year old daughter of Mrs. Miles Timmons, passed away at the family home Saturday morning, June 1, 1935, of the valvular heart disease after being confined to her bed for about 10 days. The little girl was born February 5, 1927, at Osceola, Iowa.
She is survived by her father, mother, step-father, a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. J. W. Neyman, were held at the home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock and the remains were taken to a cemetery near Truro, Iowa for burial in the family plot.
Evelyn Marie, youngest daughter of Howard H. Mills and Ethel G. Mills-Timmons, was born February 5, 1927 at Osceola, Iowa, and departed this life June 1, 1936, at her home in Corydon, Iowa at the age of eight years three months and 15 days.
She had never complained and seemed to be in good health until she was stricken with arthritis and heart trouble on the afternoon of May 21 while at play. She was a patient little sufferer to the end although at times the pain is almost unbearable.
She was a member of the Corydon Baptist Sunday School and which she had a great interest.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her father, mother, a sister, Ethyl Maxine Mills, of Des Moines, a brother Earl Mills of Corydon, a half-sister, Donna Louise Timmons, grandparents, Mrs. Minnie Mills of Des Moines, and Mrs. Ollie Clark of Osceola, Iowa, and many other relatives.
