Lloyd E. Young, 81, of Indianola died of a heart attack Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles, with burial at St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Young was born in Truro and lived in Martensdale for many years before moving to Indianola about a year ago. He was a retired self-employed building contractor and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; two sons, Leo of Council Bluffs and James of North Hill, Calif.; two daughters, Jean Reynolds of Unionville, Mo., and Louise Mayew of Brandenton, Fla; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
