Lucille “Renie” Kagarice

Lucille Irene “Renie” Kagarice, 57, of Winterset, passed away July 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of life gathering will be held 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Memorials may be made in her name to be designated at a later time by the family.

Renie was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 12, 1954 to Gene T. and Inez M. Kagarice. She attended school in Winterset graduating in the class of 1972. She later went on to attend Hamilton Business College in Des Moines.

She is survived by sisters, Jeannie Utsler (Russell) of Peru and Tamara Kagarice (Sarah) of Independence, MO; niece, DeAnn Harvey-Lowden (Blaine); beloved great nieces, Emma, Ava, and Nora Lowden; step nieces, Julie Wilson (Willie), Lynn Wildin; special step-nephew, Alan Utsler (Sharray); step-great nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Travis Miller, Alyssa Wilson, Nathan Utsler, Kaitlyn and Colton Newbury and Jayden Wildin; step-mother, Ilene Kagarice; step-sisters, Jane Silvers and Karen Johnson; step-great niece, Lisa Silvers (Jason); special cousins, Steve and Donna Kagarice, son Brian; Harriett Cheek, Esther Thurman, Dixie Baldwin; uncle John Kagarice (Betty); aunts Ruby Kagarice and Donna Kagarice; special friends, January Post (Larry), Deanna Schutz, Charlotte Speer, Mark McKeever, Kathryn Muscato (Toby), Linda Kelly, Sandra Porter and DeAnn Christensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Renie so valued the care and treatment she received from Dr. Carrie Schinstock and Dr. Dan Buroker, their teams and the caregivers at Methodist Hospital and Care Center North.

Renie’s radiant smile will live in our hearts forever. She cherished time spent with her sisters, niece, great nieces, family and friends.
