TRURO, IA.—Thomas George Hughes, 41, of Truro, who worked for Deere & Co. in Des Moines, died of cancer Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of Christ in Murray. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery here.

Mr. Hughes was born in Creston. He was a farmer and a member of UAW Local 450.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; two daughters, Christine Hughes of Des Moines and Rebecca Hughes of Truro; three sons, Rodney, Eric and Jeffery, all of Truro; his mother, Mabel Hughes of Osceola; and a brother, David of New Virginia.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.
