Delmer J. Comer, 70, of 208 Lynnwood Drive, West Des Moines, died of cancer Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery.

Mr. Comer was born in Missouri and lived in Des Moines for 22 years, coming from Arkansas. He retired as a barber from Barbering by Del, was a Korean War and World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps and had been a member of Disabled American Veterans, AmVets, Paralyzed Veterans of America, the American Numismatic Association and the American Philatelic Association.

His wife, Annabelle, and a sister, Minnie Scott of West Des Moines, survive.
