Dorothy L. Madison, 47, of 2316 Capitol Ave. died of cancer Tuesday at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery in Winterset.

Mrs. Madison was born in Warren County and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She had been an employee at Goodwill Industries.

Survivors include a son, John of Des Moines, her mother, Daisy Powell of Des Moines; a brother, Don Powell of Des Moines; and a sister, Mildred Rock of Des Moines.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
