CINCINNATI, IA.—Mervin D. Jones, 70, of Cincinnati, formerly of Winterset and Des Moines, died of a heart attack Saturday at St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital in Centerville. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Winterset.

Mr. Jones was born in Adair County and lived in Winterset and Des Moines prior to moving to Cincinnati 1 ½ years ago. He was a retired auctioneer.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Judi Ver Hoef of Nevada; a son, David of Des Moines; several grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Johnson-Lange Funeral Home in Centerville is handling arrangements.
